I was actually going to write about something similar but, I was sent a video that inspired a response. In it, a Chinese police officer executed a flashy, acrobatic takedown. A flying head scissors takedown was used by Black Widow several times in the MCU movies, but if you're more familiar with Lucha Libre wrestling, you may know it as a Hurricanrana. It was performed during an anti-terrorism training drill in China, drawing millions of views and sparking debate. Was it real? Was it staged? While undeniably impressive, the truth is that techniques like these are best left to the world of entertainment. In real-life situations, flashy moves are impractical, dangerous, and, more often than not, counterproductive.
